ASHLEE IN THE CITY…

My life as a Colorado girl………..

The Unofficial Last Day of Summer and Other Discrepancies August 19, 2008

Filed under: Family, My life, Positive Thinking, Resolutions, Teens, Those Crazy Kids — godsprincess @ 11:37 pm

You don’t even know how many things I got wrong….. I was so wrong about this summer and anybody who had anything to do with it, that it surprises even me sometimes. I’m usually right about these things too. Anyways, it all started when my brother came up here for the summer and that changed my whole life around in itself but, that wasn’t it and it didn’t end there. Things started to change like I’d never known they could change before. Just in preparation for our up-and-coming first day of school there were things that I wans’t even prepared for. By this time my brother had officially decided to stay in Colorado so, that was all settled and we would once again be going to the same school…

Leap Day August 4, 2008

Filed under: Holidays, My life, Positive Thinking, Teens, Those Crazy Kids — godsprincess @ 5:32 am

I’m tellin you this was a great day and I didn’t even have to create a scene for it to be that way either (which I usually think of doing). Anyways, I’ve noticed some of the completely boring posts around WordPress and I’ve decided to just say that you people are crazy if you really think that not posting about day to day life and instead posting about the election (which as someone who was extremely interested in it at first via reading The President’s Daughter by Ellen Emerson White, who’s really getting tired of it) is going to make some sort of political statement then your even crazier than I thought you were before. I mean I’m just back and better than ever and ready to spice up wordpress’ boring social scene, that has been over-shadowed by this years election, even though I think that it’s going to be the most important one yet. Obama’s going to win. There, I said it, now you can rock back and forth for hours because you just don’t believe it. I don’t really know where the other candidates stand but, Obama and Hilary seem to be all they talk about. I mean I’ve kinda forgtten that there were other candidates running (for the Republican party) especially since last year there were like 30 of them including John Kerry (who should have just given up a long time ago, I mean, this man wants to rule the country so bad that he’ll run ten times before he actuall becomes president, something is really wrong with that). Anways, I just don’t think that Americas ready for a woman to be president, simply because she’s (Hilary) not feminine enough and the first thing I’d say when she becomes president would be “let’s bring in those people who made Chelsea over, you know when she started hanging out with Donatella Versace” (I just don’t think she looked that bad before). She probably should’ve just ran for president after Bill’s term was over. The only bad thing about that would be that we would have had to slowly watch that woman get older and older (note to the politicians wife: keep yourself (most importantly we wouldn’t get to watch Lil’Bush), Bush wasn’t that bad of a president if you ask me (I’m really not the one you want to ask though).

Summer 2008 August 4, 2008

Filed under: Family, My life, Positive Thinking, Resolutions, Teens — godsprincess @ 5:25 am

Well, let me just say that it’s June 3rd, 2008 and summer is off to a great start. Even though last year I didn’t come on here most of the summer I plan on giving you full coverage of all of the crazy things that go on in the Jones household. First, my brother who came up here for Christmas is coming…..That was what I started a few weeks ago when I suddenly had to get off of the computer and let me tell you, that was going to be a great post (if I could remember any of it). Anyways, my brother’s already here and has been here for a couple of weeks now and whatever else I had to say will just have to wait because like I said, I can’t remember what it was. More recently, I’ve been preparing for my birthday which is next Monday (Whoop Whoop!) and it’s going to be a great one considering that last year was my best one EVER and that’s quite a stretch for me. That’s just about all that’s been going on other than my brother being here and him trying to conform or rather be the opposite of all of us, whatever that means.

Let’s Just Say….. May 6, 2008

Filed under: Celebrities, Controversy, Entertainment, Family, Positive Thinking, Teens — godsprincess @ 12:03 am

I know that I haven’t been on here in awhile but, there’s something that I have to address.

I’m so tired of people saying that Miley Cyrus is the next Britney Spears. Even so, Britney Spears is just another person that made a few mistakes that people publicized (how would you feel if all of your mistakes were publicized?), she’s human! Let’s just get right down to it. It’s not my usual thing to post about celebrities but, this is something that I feel I’ve got to do in order to give people some perspective. Everybody knows how Miley Cyrus has been in the news recently for MORE pictures but what they think is even worse than that is those infamous Vanity Fair photos that have everyone talking. Anyways, there are more important things to think about than pictures that Miley Cyrus is taking, that are remarkably like pictures that just abouut every-other teen in America takes and puts on Myspace, I mean isn’t that what all of the hub bub is really about? The fact that she’s a role model for young girls everywhere? Well, maybe she is but, I think that parents should be more concerned with what their children are doing and what other influences they have in their lives rather than being concerned with what they see on tv. What is more upsetting is that all of these adults are judging her and her parents (like their kids haven’t made any mistakes or like they as parents have never made mistakes) and yet I still haven’t heard any kids complain, I mean she was fully clothed and even though it was “suggestive” what isn’t? Atleast she did it for a magazine and not just because she wanted to take a picture of herself with barely any clothes on and as to this being a plot to sell magazines I don’t really have anything to say because as a magazine freak and collector I see this magazine all the time and I think seriously about buying it but I never do and when I heard about the picture I knew I just had to have it. I, of course, buy into these things all the time and I don’t care what anybody says these photos are going to go down in history as just one of those things that happens when child stars are ready to grow up and people won’t let them (like Britney Spear’s Rollingstone photos and Christina Aguilera’s Moulin Rouge days). Let’s just say that I’m going to buy the magazine even though I’ve always thought of it as an old lady magazine (even though I’ve never actually opened it up) but, it could end up being something that I spend my magazine money on. Who knows. People just need to be more honest and stop idolizing and letting their kids idolize people just becasue their on tv,and in the words of Miley Cyrus “Nobody’s Perfect” (actually paying attention to the lyrics of the songs and not just who’s singing them might be helpful). That’s all I’ve got to say about that. I just love the perfect world we live in and the perfect people that live in it…………..whatever.

O.k. so…… March 12, 2008

Well, now that everyting has been established, let me just say that I am seriously trying to come up with a reason not to publish on this blog all the time and considering that no excuse has come up, I guess I’m gonna have to follow through. Anyways, things have been going great around here and other than a few minor changes nothing really big has happened since my last post which isn’t so bad. Everything juse seems to flow and only get better so, I guess that’s good because I don’t think I could take another upheaval. More importantly it seems like everyone is starting s new job next week including my mother who has decided not to get into the cookie biz and just get another job and work at Jenny Craig on the weekends. Which the way I see it just needs to make her happy, considering that she’ll be working 7 days a week (or rather 28 days straight)for now and I just don’t like the idea (if it’s about the money) of her working all the time, being tired and not being able to enjoy the money that she’s worked so hard for. Other than that my dad’s going to the day shift which means that I’ll be here with the kids all day (I’ve got to prepare myself for that, whoo just thinkin about it) an my aunt got a new job which is cool. That’s all out of the way and it’ll just be a lot of people working really hard for about the next month and constant changes that will be for the better. I guess I’d better being doing something too. Like PaRtaYYY!!!!

By the way I don’t really support the lyrics of this song or wild teen partying, I just love the song. Yes, it was on the Apple commercial.

Everything’s Changing February 22, 2008

Filed under: Family, My life, Positive Thinking, Resolutions, Teens — godsprincess @ 7:39 pm

This year (so far) has been one of constant change and things completely out-of-the-ordinary. There are those things that you welcome and those things that make you kinda sad. For one we’ve started getting comfortable in our house and really enjoying it which is great, because, I mean after a year you’d think you’d already be comfortable right? That wasn’t exactly the case, because, we simply have been thinking about a bigger house since we’ve been living here, especially me considering that my room isn’t as big as it could be. On top of that money has been rolling in and my mom’s starting a new business although,a few set backs might have caused  some doubts she’s doing great. I’ve been able to purchase things and receive things that I’ve been wanting to get for a long time. Anyways, I think that every thing’s been fine and the holidays have done us well, but, I definitely write about that later. One of the MOST IMPORTANT changes though is that one of the Jones families have moved to Virginia, you know the ones that I referred to as”them” ( also the ones that got us to come here)before? Well, let me just set that record straight. They are not a “THEM” they are my  family and the things that I wrote back then (which I gave post passwords to protect the innocent and the integrity of the posts) were simply the ramblings of a self-obsessed, over-spiritual teenage girl who had too much time on her hands. Now that we’ve got that straight letus just say that all is well, apologies have been made, we’re cool, and I’ll tell you more about that later. Also for the record,I know that I’ve been posting like I should and so you don’t really know all that much about my life right now. I assure  you that I am going to make this blog top priority ( I know I’ve said that before) and I’m OFFICIALLY naming it Blog of The Month (because I love it), which means that it will be the main blog that I’ll be paying attention to ( so that I can get my people back, sorry for the delay) and will spend less time on my fashion blog. It is true in fact that I have been working on a lot of posts that I haven’t been able to finish or publish right away because they correspond with other posts. That’s that.

Oh, my gosh! I can’t believe it! Forget about everything else. Forget about all of the posts I’m going to write. Forget about how wonderful the last month of my life has been. We just got a second car! Gotta go. Apparently I’ve got to go snuggle now. More about that later…..

Holiday News!!! December 20, 2007

Filed under: Holidays, My life, Positive Thinking, Teens — godsprincess @ 12:31 am

 okkaayy…..

I said that I  would post more often but, maybe I lied so, get off of my back! I will however share some holiay news with you. First, my brother’s coming to town, that’s right, he is. As a matter of fact, we’re waiting on my mom to come back from picking him up from the airport and the twins are upstairs attempting to sleep through Brandon’s efforts to wake them up. All’s well that ends well. I also happen to know that we’ve already got a Wii, yes, this year’s most sought after video game and there are already presents under the tree, more to wrap ( not counting the ones at other peoples houses) and more shopping to be done. This will be the best Christmas ever!!! Everything has fallen together this year and is 100x’s better that it was last year and that was the best Christmas so far. Just think of the possibilities!! They’re endless! I have accomplished so much and everyone’s happier. I’m getting an I-Pod Nano, a laptop, books and tons of clothes and gifts from different people. I’ve truly got a lot to be thankful for this year and I’m on my way to seeing every dream come true. This will be the first year ever that we’ve lived in our own, fully furnished house with a tree, gifts, money, and a true sense of family.

Mother’s Day Crazy…..Part 2 June 23, 2007

Filed under: Holidays, My life, Positive Thinking, Teens — godsprincess @ 5:00 pm

Mother’s Day was trully CRAZY!

It started out with me waking up wondering what I was really going to get her and if I was going to have a chance. See, the day before my dad went out with my uncles (as they did almost every weekend) and they were out till 5 in the mornin (I had to do it)  like 3:00 the next day (I don’t care how early it was, after midnight it’s the next day). I know because Lolo woke up in around that time and my mom and dad brought her in my room and daddy was stillfullu dressed.Brandon and I had planned to spend the night with my cousin’s house.Didn’t happen that way!!! Of course, nobody knew that because they were expected but, didn’t come.  Back to Mother’s Day, daddy came in and told me to get dressed. We went to Wal-Mart, so, as it turned out I only got paid $50 that day so I was  a little short. However, my mom still ended up with A Walk To Remember, A Walk In The Clouds, and Headbands. Really good gifts I’d sa y if you asked me. After we gave out gifts and cards my uncle Darren and aunt Gwen came and my dad went with them,so did I. It was a very eventful day and It turned out better than I’d hoped. We ended up in some other city and we laughed basically the whole time that we were out and it was fun.Never a dull moment in our family…..

Nobody knows….. May 3, 2007

Filed under: My life, Positive Thinking, Teens — godsprincess @ 4:05 pm

Nobody really knows the consequences of their actions until after they do something stupid. If you never do anything stupid you wouldn’t have to worry about the consequences of your actions. The first issue with all of these actions is that the people that you are affecting have to first at some point and time believe that these things are capable of happening to them. This is the law of agreement. If you believe something bad is going to happen to you it is just a matter of time before this happens to you. Of course, you have to wholeheartedly believe that this is going to happen to you and if you haven’t been taught on these things it is especially important that pay closely to what I am saying. If you or someone you know has had something happen to them that they didn’t want in their life somewhere in their mind there was either an “if”, they spoke it, they thought it up or they were in fear that it would happen. There can never be an if because it’s just a matter of time before the “if” shows up.I believe that only positive things and edifying things can show up in my life which is why at this point and time in my life. This is my year and it can be yours too if you only believe it and hold images in your mind of things that you want to show up! In almost everything that I post I always have to say these things because I only want to share what I’ve seen work! I saw these Prom magazines in King Soopers that I wanted because they were in a three pack for $10.00. I really wanted these! Now, I know what your thinking: “Won’t it be a few years before you’ll be able to go to Prom?”. Not technically, as I was  invited this year my my cousin but, as I hear it, my dad didn’t want me to go. I think it had something to do with the fact that when I asked him he didn’t say anything for 45 minutes and when he did say something it was about his chubba. I thought he’d say yes considering that he rarely says anything to me about anything. I guess not. It wasn’t that we couldn’t afford it because if it was really meant for me to go God would have supplied the money, after-all, my cousin got her dress from Ross for $40.00. I wanted to get mine from Forever 21 anyway and their dresses aren’t that expensive. Which gave me the awesome idea to buy dresses from Thrift Stores, Re-make them and either keep them for myself or sell them to other people which would be really great as I’m always eyeing some vintage find or dress. Which are even more prevelant in Memphis and here there are so many really nice Thrift Stores. You know me, I’m always coming up with something to do to have something original that no one else will have on. Which is why I love this time of year. O.K. that’s enough you’ll have to read my other blog to get the rest of that story……

Music today and my take on it… April 24, 2007

Filed under: Music, My life, Positive Thinking, Teens — godsprincess @ 8:31 pm

   mu·sic [myoo-zik]–noun

1. an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.

Music is something different to everyone in my opinion. It’s always been an expression of the individuals’ personal and true thoughts. It therefore is at times infiltrated with the negative thoughts of the person who is singing them that is why I find myself at times either changing the word to be something positive or I don’t say the words at all. I completely recommend doing this especially for those who listen to Rap, R&B, and Country music as they are some of the main supporters of this negativity which is spreading like wildfire to the youth of today. They don’t really understand the power of their words and so they are singing these song and looking up-to these people who don’t understand it themselves. Such as in Young Jeezys’ song I Luv It he says that he knows that  when he goes to Hell that he’s going to fry. This has become his confession but don’t take my word for it listen carefully to every word that you say and what you hear. You’ll actually find that 99.9% of the music that you listen to is infiltrated with negativity. This opens a whole new door to realising what you have thought and placed into your life by the way of your eyes yourears and your mouth. After-all, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Whatever you think about all the time will eventually show up in your life. My mother read me this power quote the other day and it reads:

Concentrate on happy things.

You must be careful what you notice, talk about, or give your attention to. Because, that is what you are identifying with and, that is what you will bring into your life.

Anything that you think about all the time or pay attention to and you do not cast down will eventually show up in your life. If you only think of happy things and positive things those are the things that will show up. Which means that at some point and time in your life either you or someone who had/has spiritual authority over you (such as parent or whoevers’ care God placed you in)  thought into your life. Whatever you fear will eventually show up also. I’ve heard many people say when a tragic thing happens in their live s that it was the thing that they greatly feared. Job says in Job 3:25

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

If you read Job carefully and take everything in life as having a spiritual and a natural meaning you should be able to read the Bible not as a historical book but as the book you should be able to model it according to how you want it to turn out. Whenever,  it is an established pattern of thinking only those things can show up. That is why those that are rich in their minds  first are able to continue to be rich in their external lives.

An Updated Life….part 2 April 24, 2007

Filed under: My life, Positive Thinking, Teens — godsprincess @ 7:12 pm

Once again, I’ve come to share pieces of my updated life and the fact that things have definitely changed for me for the better . All I know is that I have alot more to look forward to than a Degrassi Marathon. I must make reference to the fact that just about a month I was saying that I could easily babysit in my neighborhood and make tons of money because not only am I good at it but, I love to do it. I have to say that I had to consider the fact that in this situation I am was not trusting God and that I was operating in the natural and not the super-natural. Last Friday, my aunt asked me to babysit to babysit on the 26th and then this Thursday then when I got home my mother who has just gotten a job at Jenny Craig is going to pay me $50 a week just to babysit my siblings. For this I didn’t have to advertise, I don’t have to be bogged down to Colorado for the whole summer and I don’t have to worry about tracking people down and dealing with crazy people and their children. This is all in concordance with the fact that I only expect the best things and that’s what I get. My expectancy has also reached an all time high as I’ve been Thrift Store shopping for years and now it seems as if I had to move all the way to Colorado before I was able to find so many wonderful and interesting books. My mother who is to blame for my love of books introduced me to the Salvation Army here which has a bag of books every Monday and Friday for $2.49. This introduced me to a whole new world of the teen romance books that I so very much long for such as the Wildfire Romances,  Sweet Valley High books, Sweet Dreams Romances, and so many other books. Since the only limitations that exist are those that exist in your mind being able to be only limited by a bag is a wonderful thing because when a good shipment of books come in (such as a very large one filled with teen books) I will be the one to go and get as many as possible (meaning everyone that I can find although careful not to be greedy). I believe that what ever is mine is mine and that no one can take what is mine therefore, it will be there whenever I go back, as me and my mother have both agreed not to go back for awhile so that we can give some other people a chance. My mother who is trying to read  every book that she can on positive thinking ( and is also supplying me with them) is finding all kinds of books and one  that she found that is worth hundreds of dollars that she basically got for free in the bag of books ( she’s not selling it so don’t get any ideas). This and other things has arisen in my updated life and many more things are to come as my life only gets better and better and even as I’m writing this I remember that Chief Apostle preached that whatever is written can’t be changed unless you question it with the words of your mouth. I believe that if your thoughts are always positive, everything that you say out of your mouth is positive and if your belief is only in God and not in man or other resources you life will turn out just the way you want it to.
